Where is ahune the frost lord

Good luck! Comment by chonchu Stop posting your drops. Download the "wowhead client" and upload your data once you killed it or at any time. Comments should not be used as "drop list". The first stage is a circle of frosty mist that will be centered around a party member. If you are the party member so targeted, this is when you need to start moving away. If you wait for the more obvious signal of the frost-nova-like effect on the ground before reacting, you're going to be spending way too much of the fight up in the air.

Comment by barbeque To groups facing trouble with Ahune, do not despair. We used a simple strat of all on the elite with some aoe on the adds. Unfortunately, we wiped again and again. We did better on normal mode, but dps kept dying and eventually the healer was either oom or overwhelmed. After taking a break, I tried it again with a lesser geared group blues and greens and managed to down Ahune without much problems.

This time, we took note of a few things. The small elementals are going to come out for a fixed amount of time, so it doesn't really matter how quickly you get the elite down. Keep 2 dps on the non-elites and one ranged with tank on the elite. Worked much better. Gear doesn't matter as much as you would think, but a good strat helps. Comment by Randsome Don't kill him when he's in his normal form, the chest won't spawn and he seems to bug out afterwards and not submerge properly. Comment by Hunterios Why is everyone saying this is the hardest boss on heroic?

Just did it normal and heroic mode with: Prot warrior Elemental shaman Fire mage Aff lock Resto shaman me. It was seriously easy. No problems at all to keep everyone up, adds went down smooth thanks to elemental shaman burst dps. And then of course two times Bloodlust, for each phase 2 one. With this setup he should go down the second phase 2. Aswell phase 2 is really nuke since no-one is taking damage. Healer should go dpsing as well at this point. Imo, the second boss in MgT Heroic is alot harder still.

Comment by Keep rogues off the elite add and get them to take the non elite mobs instead, the debuff hurts a lot and your healer will likely have enough to worry about with spot healing the ice lance damage. Tried this for the first time last night prot pally, me rogue , mage, lock, resto shammy. Comment by Most likely the "no loot when died in attack phase" reports are from scenarios where Ahune has bugged out.

I have personally seen - and heard other reports of - Ahune getting stuck in attack phase, but without spawning adds or doing much of anything really. At this point the party can simply hack away until Ahune dies, but no chest will spawn. In at least my case this was caused by Ahune failing to reset properly after a wipe he was still around, and bugged, when we returned to the instance.

Comment by Kabby If you're looking for more info on the mobs Ahune spawns, here you go. Ahunite Hailstone Level: 70 elite Spawns: Once at the start of every phase 1.

Abilities: He has an aura that applies a stacking DoT and a spell interrupt. Ahunite Coldwave Level: 70 non-elite Spawns: Repeatedly in pairs during every phase 1. Abilities: They have a ranged damage spell. Ahunite Frostwind Level: 70 non-elite Spawns: Repeatedly in phase 1; however, they do not spawn in the first phase 1.

Abilities: They have a Lightning Shield and a pull spell. Comment by It's a real pain if your dps and tank aren't focused on taking down the hailstone, coldwaves, and frostwinds. His drops are a good upgrade for some staves, cloaks, and amulets and the pet he drops is pretty cool.

Comment by Ahune has is a holiday boss for the midsummer fire festival he is like a headless horsemen for a different holiday. Ahune is located inside the slave pens in coilfang reservoir. Ahune is a fairly simple fight as long as you keep the healer alive. Comment by I've never seen so many negative posts on this sight before.

Can someone please clean this up so we can get at the important info? Comment by snyper 1. Waves of enemies in increasing difficulty. The difficulty itself! I'm sure there's at least one more reason that this is a nod to Gradius. Comment by Remember that items from his chest cannot be disenchanted, so don't let others ninja them!

Comment by Just as a side note, with the same group of 5 people, you can summon him 6 times per day. Comment by so lemme get this right Comment by Alikat Very, very lame fight. Adds zerg rush your group I thought games as a whole had moved on from the "fill screen with enemies" crap once we stopped using the PS1, but I guess I was wrong , with constant spell interrupts the order of the day.

Using a pally tank is probably the only way to hope to slog through the add waves; I wouldn't bother trying unless your group is in T4 or better gear. Comment by SupaYoda Fighting this boss on normal mode does not currently require that you leave the instance and reset in order to summon and defeat him again, as was required with the Headless Horseman. It also appears that you can summon him as many times as you like even with the same player in heroic mode until he is defeated.

I've heard rumors that he does not drop the pet or epic items on normal mode. This is NOT true. We have received the pet on normal mode, and he does drop epic capes. The neck pieces and Badge of Justice seem to be the only loot differences on heroic mode. Comment by Thottbot First! Heh, couldnt help myself. This boss consists of two phases. Hope this helps. Comment by Thottbot Keep an eye on the spawns, too.

I came into this the first time expecting one big guy, one small. I was a little surprised to see the waves this guy drops. Comment by Thottbot As another thing, tanks don't have a huge amount to do here. Tank teh elite while the mobs spawn like flies on yesterday's cheeseburger. Then when he "retreats" into the frozen core, just spank him. When it says he's about to resurface, y'all want to back right up to give DPS a chance to find their targets, then keep tanking the elite again.

Rinse and repeat. Comment by Thottbot Yeah, we have a shadowpriest working as our healer today - he's not in shadowform, just dropping basic heals and we're doing alright. DPS is a priority, though, otherwise the adds will flood you over. The debuff Hailstone Chill affects nearby party members, too.

So keep back from the tank, and if you have a pet out, keep them back from the elite or the boss. Once the event has run its course, this will no longer be available until next year, but there are no guarantees. We cannot allow the plot between the Twilight Cult and the naga heretics of Neptulon to come to fruition. For the sake of Azeroth and all life upon it, we must act.

Our path is clear. You must journey to the slave pens deep within Coilfang Reservoir and meet with our shaman there. Go, and quickly! Thank the spirits you're here! We must summon Ahune quickly before it's too late It is important to list the value of the loot in the Lord Ahune guide. The cloaks are solid options for Phase 1 prebis cloaks. While those items are not the definitive best cloaks, they will make that slot raid ready for Phase 1 raiding content.

As for Heroic, the boss also grants access to BoJ equivalent Necklaces. For specs like the Fury Warrior, the necklace drop from Heroic is equal to their definitive best Phase 1 prebis piece of gear in that slot. Table of Contents. Image via Blizzard Entertainment. How to Summon Lord Ahune.

Zoram Strand is in the top left of Ashenvale, with Blackfathom Deeps in the area. Image via Blizzard. Classic TBC. Classic Theme Thottbot Theme. Quick Facts. This quest and boss will most likely only be available during the Midsummer Event. Ahune will be located in Coilfang Reservoir. Phase 2 - Ahune submerges ragnaros-style and its Frozen Core will spawn, that's when you attack him!

After some time Ahune will emerge and you'll have to fight adds for one more minute, etc Save the 25 badges which you thinking of using on the Blood Knight and get the Frost Lord during the festival! Comment by parl This quest does not directly by itself lead to the quest to summon Ahune. There must be a hidden prereq. Comment by Kleb Need to complete a chain of three quests which starts with Unusual Activity , then opening up this quest.

Comment by parl The followups inside SP cannot be completed on Heroic. Get the Unusual Activity quest from any capital city midsummer reveler. Head to Zoram Strand. Kill the lvl 21 mobs, got the drop on 2nd kill. Summon spirit wolf, talk to him.

Listen to the NPCs. Call the spirit wolf back, get quest to return to any Midsummer reveler guy. Gotta get the next quest on Normal mode from the chick right inside the instance.
